Étienne Ledoux, Paris, 1821, with 15, complete as listed, engraved maps, 9 of which folding double page, all with contemporary outline colouring, contemporary card wrappers, slim folio, poor condition, binding insecure and water stained throughout, no significant rips or tears to maps however, together with four further loose Tardieu maps; 'Monde Connu Des Anciens', ''Mappe-Monde Physique', 'Mappemonde en Deux Hemispheres', 'Mappe-Monde....', all published Chanlaire and Mentelle, Paris (5)
Provenance; The Alan Winning Collection of Antiquarian Maps, Books and Atlases. Beginning in the 1970’s with an interest in the 19th Century development of the railway network and the County Maps of this period that charted it, Alan expanded his academic interest into good early printed maps, town plans, travel guides, books and atlases and has been adding to his collection over the past 50 years.
